I think we all already know the singular answer.

The Warriors have gotten off to a strong start this season despite the departure of Klay Thompson and a relatively quiet offseason. The roster had plenty of depth but also significant rotation uncertainty without established stars outside of Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Yet, so far, head coach Steve Kerr and his staff have managed the group beautifully. It still feels like the Warriors will need to make a big move to get back to title contention, but stranger things have happened.

Regardless, with the holiday season upon us, we decided to spend countless hours in the Golden State of Mind slack channel engaging in rigorous and time-consuming debate about the five things Dub Nation should be most thankful for this year. Here’s the detailed list we came up with.

1. S

2. T

3. E

4. P

5. H

Don’t forget to be grateful for the obvious things that makes your life better. Draymond Green’s unique skillset, Buddy Hield’s hot start to his Warriors career, and head coach Steve Kerr and the roster’s embrace of a 12-player rotation early this year are all worthy of gratitude from the fan base. But nothing has had a larger impact on the franchise in the last four decades than the arrival of Steph Curry back in 2009. And that’s really putting it mildly to satisfy any fans who have a particular nostalgia attached to Wilt Chamberlain or Rick Barry’s title runs. If we’re being honest, no player has been better, and no player has meant more to the Golden State Warriors than Wardell Stephen Curry II.

If you’re in need of a video to play in the background while your family mingles and hopefully enjoys some good food this holiday season, why not show off this three-hour compilation of Curry’s best moments the Warriors put together earlier this year.

Happy Holidays!
