Boy, 16, killed in car crash that left three teens seriously hurt
A 16-year-old boy has died in a car crash in a West Sussex village, police have confirmed.
Sussex Police were called last night around 10.45pm to the scene of a crash on Emsworth Common Road, Westbourne.
The incident occurred after a Vauxhall Corsa was involved in a serious crash.
Paramedics tried to save a 16-year-old boy, but he was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
Two 17-year-old girls and another 16-year-old boy have been taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threating, injuries, said Sussex Police.
A force spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating the full circumstances of the incident and want witnesses or anyone with relevant information such as dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicles in the area at the time to come forward.
“Police would also be keen to speak with anyone who believes they saw the vehicle prior to the collision in the area.”
Anyone with information can contact police, quoting Operation Lutterworth.
