How to see the dazzling northern lights in NYC on Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Stargazers can behold the breathtaking northern lights in the Empire State — and as far west as Idaho — beginning after 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, according to a forecast from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
