People stop me in the street and call me a freak for dating my ‘daughter’ – it’s not what it looks like
A COUPLE has hit back at trolls who claim they look more like father and daughter than boyfriend and girlfriend.
Michael revealed the pair have been followed down the street and slammed as a ‘freak’ for his relationship with Samantha.
Speaking to Truly, Michael and Samantha revealed their two-foot height difference often catches the eyes of strangers.
“We have so many people trying to take pictures. It’s sometimes scary because people will follow me,” added Samantha who stands 4ft tall compared to Michael who is 6ft2.
Samantha is a little person born with a rare type of dwarfism and the pair first met at a party.
“She caught my eye quickly. I added her on Facebook and inboxed her and it just, the rest is history I guess,” Michael explained.
Now the pair have been together for seven years and have a child together but are still stopped in the street.
Samantha said: “People say our relationship is a freak show.”
“I try not to pay attention to any of that stuff. I’m a lover, not a fighter,” says Michael, adding “I feel like the hate has definitely made us stronger as a couple.”
While the pair have made sure they’ve got each other’s backs – they still find it difficult to go out in public.
Samantha revealed that people often follow them around, even when they are with their son, and try to take pictures of the couple.
The couple has even revealed they’ve been mistaken as father and daughter when out in public.
The clip posted to Truly’s YouTube account was a hit with viewers with over 17k views.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments.
