Tottenham having a mini-injury crisis

While Tottenham‘s injury list at the moment is nowhere near as bad as it was this time last season, it would not be entirely wrong to describe their current situation as an injury crisis.

They have been without their two starting centre-backs, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, while Wilson Odobert and Richarlison are both out with long-term injuries.

To make matters worse, Guglielmo Vicario joined them on the treatment table this week, with the goalkeeper undergoing surgery on a fractured ankle on Monday.

Paul O Keefe provides update on Mikey Moore at Tottenham

Amidst these high-profile injuries, the absence of one Spurs youngster has gone a bit under the radar.

The player in question is Mikey Moore, who has had an exciting start to his Tottenham career, impressing everyone with his displays in the Europa League. However, the winger has been unavailable over the last few weeks after being hit hard with a virus.

Paul O Keefe has now taken to social media to reveal that the 17-year-old needs another three to four weeks to get up to speed.

Timing of Mikey Moore illness is very unfortunate

With Odobert and Richarlison out, Moore would have seen the upcoming fixtures as the ideal opportunity to get consistent minutes under his belt.

There is no doubt that he would have started the remaining Europa League group matches, but Timo Werner will now have to play those games.

It might be a lot more difficult for the teenager to get starts after January once the Europa League’s knockout stages begin.
