Traitors’ Charlotte threatens to take ex Conor Maynard to court over baby saying ‘I’m killing myself to pay for her’
TRAITORS star Charlotte Chilton has threatened legal action over her baby with Conor Maynard, telling her ex, “I’m killing myself to pay for her.”
TV personality Charlotte, 32, announced she was pregnant with singer Conor‘s baby earlier this year, however the pair endured a public fallout before Penelope’s birth.
The single mum welcomed their daughter last month, before being spotted out weeks later.
Taking to her Instagram Story yesterday, she posted a private WhatsApp she sent to the 32-year-old, in which she issued a stark ultimatum over financial support.
She said in the message: “Ok so we clearly are not friends however we have a daughter who is identical to you. I don’t even know if your family care. However I do.
“I am killing myself to pay for what she needs and deserves. So with that I can talk to you face to face or we can do court … take your pick. It’s time to grow up.”
In her caption, she told fans: “I have said it before and I will say it again I’m honest and trying to do what I can to be the best mum … what do we think this ‘man’ will say?”
Conor’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
When Charlotte announced the birth of their child on social media, she failed to tag Conor as they are currently not on speaking terms.
The reality star captioned her post: “Princess Penelope has arrived and we have been enjoying our ‘Penelope bubble’ so much.
“I am going to be off the radar for a little longer, whilst I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl!! Thank you to all that have checked in to make sure I am ok!! my heart is full xx”
Charlotte had previously had seven agonising miscarriages and failed IVF during her marriage to estranged wife Laura.
Though she was very excited about becoming a mum, the situation with singer Conor left her distraight, and she described him as “a real-life traitor who betrayed me” in an interview with The Sun.
She fell pregnant from their one-night stand following a champagne-fuelled wrap party for the second series of The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
Charlotte was introduced to TikToker Conor by the BBC murder mystery game’s winner Harry Clark.
She said she felt pressured into keeping Conor’s identity as the father a secret.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Charlotte previously said: “We had a great night together and even sent Harry a selfie of us in bed saying, ‘Successful match’.
“We kept in touch, confided in each other and planned to meet up. But after I told him I was pregnant that apparently decent man changed.
“He turned on me, I felt pressured into keeping his identity as the father a secret.
“He told me, ‘I’m not ready to be a dad. It’s nothing against you, Charlotte, but even if we’d been together three years, I would be the exact same. I do not want to have a child. That’s why I haven’t got a dog’.
“It was so stressful that doctors twice put me on bed rest. I thought I was going to miscarry.”
