Hugh Grant Doesn’t Remember Making Out With Luann de Lesseps
Earlier this week, former Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps shared a juicy story about taking shots and making out with Hugh Grant in the Hamptons. Glam!
“A girlfriend of mine called me and was like Hugh Grant is at Pierre’s. I said, ‘I’ll be right over.’ I called and said, ‘Get the table right next to Hugh Grant,’” de Lesseps told TooFab. She did what she called “Flirting 101” and bumped into him on purpose. According to her, the two started chatting (“he knows who I am because I know Andy”) and she offered to buy him a shot.
“Before you know it, we are taking shots and making out heavily at the table! My brother was like, ‘I can’t believe you’re making out with Hugh Grant’, and I was like, ‘Neither can I,’” de Lesseps said.
What a great story. It’s such a good story that it made its way back to Grant in the form of a headline on People, and he decided to share his side of the story.

This is a remarkably kind response from the guy who has reveled in being annoyed at everything for the past few years. He calls her charming, politely notes that it was 15 years ago, and (jokingly?) allows for the idea that she might be telling the truth. Do I think she is? Not really, but if you had flirted with Hugh Grant once would you not make the story bigger and bigger over the years? Let’s circle back in another 15 years and see what Luann is saying then — maybe in that version they’ll start a torrid affair.
