Dramatic moment I’m A Celebrity star’s clothes catch fire – leaving camp stunned

0

THIS is the dramatic moment I’m A Celebrity’s Richard Coles accidentally set his SOCKS on fire.

The TV personality had been drying his hosiery over the fire – but he made a serious error during tonight’s episode.

Rev Richard, 62, was trying to move on from the wet weather and damp conditions in camp.

All the star names previously fell victim to a number of days of heavy rain as they settled into the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The Have I Got News for You star wanted to take advantage of the sunlight and heat.

So he hung his wet socks near the flames of the central fire in camp in an attempt to dry them.

However, he forgot to actively keep an eye out on his damp clothes as they dried up.

It meant he didn’t notice they had caught alight – much to the amusement of his stunned jungle campmates.

As the TV personality tried to salvage the sparse clothing, his co-stars were left in a mixture of shock and hysterics at the incident.

In the Bush Telegraph, McFly‘s Danny Jones couldn’t help but joke about the incident.

He laughed: “Reverend Richard’s socks were blowing holy smoke across the jungle!”

Back at camp Coronation Street‘s Alan Halsall exclaimed: “That’s not good. Who put them there? Someone’s made a boo-boo.”

This was as our very own Jane Moore and Maura Higgins made their way back to camp after Fright at the End of the Tunnel.

They won six stars for camp in the tough trial, as Jane relished the opportunity.

The Loose Woman star comforted her co-star as Maura broke down in tears after facing her biggest fear in the form of spiders.

How to vote for our Jane

ITV is logging all votes online at itv.com/vote or you can download the I’m A Celebrity app on your phone.

Every time Ant and Dec announce a new trial you can cast five votes.

Jane would love you to use all of them to get her another Bushtucker challenge.

Later this week, vote to SAVE Jane from eviction.
