Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo says she will not seek a third term in 2026

Anne Hidalgo, the first woman to be elected mayor of Paris, said she wanted to announce her decision not to run for reelection early to allow for a smooth transition. She endorsed Senator Remi Feraud as her preferred successor.
