ISRO’s Shukrayaan takes off—on paper: Govt greenlights Venus mission to study planet's weather, atmosphere
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has unveiled an ambitious roadmap, securing approval for its first Venus mission, Shukrayaan, set for a 2028 launch. Plans for Chandrayaan 4 include a joint lunar mission with Japan, targeting the Moon’s south pole and sample return by 2030. ISRO also outlined progress on Mars exploration, the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme, and its first space station by 2035. These initiatives position India as a key player in global space exploration.
