Jennifer Lopez Warms Up in Slouchy Black Leather Boots at ‘Unstoppable’ Brunch in West Hollywood
Jennifer Lopez attended a brunch for her film “Unstoppable” held yesterday in West Hollywood. Lopez was joined by her “Unstoppable” co-star Jharrel Jerome.
The “Atlas” star opted for a cozy pair of black leather knee-high booties. The footwear pick featured slouchy black leather uppers that transitioned into sharp triangular pointed toes and 2 to 3-inch block heels. The choice is not unlike styles that can be shopped from brands like Ralph Lauren, Veronica Beard, Coach, Aquazzura and Paris Texas, among others.
Booties of all kinds are undoubtedly the king of fall and winter footwear. The shoe style encapsulates the wearer’s foot, acting as a barrier against the harsh elements. Leather boots are exceedingly popular, especially among celebrities like Elle Fanning, Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige, Victoria Beckham and Cher.
Going for a monochrome moment, the performer sported a black blazer dress. The garment was belted and featured gold button accents, a plunging neckline, structured shoulders and a pleated skirt. Evoking the 70s, Lopez also wore large sunglasses with tan square frames. The dress was cinched, defining the star’s silhouette and combatting the usual boxy nature of most blazers.
Over the years, Lopez has been applauded for her impeccable style. Her sleek red carpet selections often feature classic styles with striking edits and additions. Throughout her career, she has undertaken several fashion ventures, including a partnership with Giuseppe Zanotti on a 2017 luxury shoe collection. “Unstoppable” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 6. The film, distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, follows the story of Anthony Robles. A child born without a leg exceeds expectations by becoming a champion wrestler in college, competing against the very school that rejected him. Emmy winner Jharrel Jerome plays the athlete, while Lopez plays his mother, Judy Robles.
