From VOA Mandarin: In China, female comedians are gaining a voice

Chinese female comedians are starting to talk about menstruation, sanitary pads and other topics at stand-up comedy shows, breaking ground on what were considered taboo topics in Chinese society. However, that does not mean that sensitive political topics are expected to be open for discussion anytime soon.
