Cabinet approves Rs 7,927 crore for multitracking railway projects
The Cabinet on Monday approved three major multitracking projects across Indian Railways, totalling an investment of Rs. 7,927 crore. These projects aim to improve connectivity, enhance travel convenience, reduce logistics costs, minimise oil imports, and lower CO2 emissions. Additionally, the Cabinet has also given the green light for the expansion of the Manmad-Jalgaon fourth railway line, with an allocated budget of Rs. 2,773 crore, approved on Monday.
