In biggest drug haul, India seizes meth weighing equivalent to two elephants near Andaman Islands
The Coast Guard intercepted a fishing trawler near Barren Island. The trawler carried 6,000 kg of Methamphetamine. Six Myanmarese nationals were arrested. The drugs were likely destined for India and neighboring countries. A Coast Guard aircraft spotted the suspicious vessel. Authorities towed the trawler to Port Blair for investigation.
