New Delhi: Team India has tightened its grip on Australia in the first test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The first test match of the series between India and Australia is being played at the Perth Cricket Stadium. Team India won the toss and batted first and scored 150 runs. In response, host Australia was all out for just 104 runs, giving the visitor team a crucial lead of 46 runs.

During his batting, Nathan Lyon played an unbeaten innings of 90 runs in 193 balls till the end of the day’s play. In this innings, Yashasvi hit 7 fours and 2 excellent sixes. In the second innings of Team India, KL Rahul also made a lot of noise along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rahul, who was, unfortunately, out in the first innings, batted strongly with Yashasvi and played an unbeaten innings of 62 runs in 153 balls. KL Rahul also hit four excellent fours in this inning.
Team India’s lead increased to 218 runs:
Team India has established a stronghold in the first test match against Australia. The Indian team had gained a big lead of 46 runs on the basis of the first innings against Australia. In the second innings, Team India scored 172 runs without any loss on the second day of the game. In this way, Team India’s lead has increased to 218 runs.
