IND vs AUS: KL Rahul’s wicket creates uproar in the cricket world, veterans say….
New Delhi: The first match of the five-match Test series is being played between India and Australia. In this match, Team India captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and decided to bat first. After this, the Indian team came out to bat and their start was very bad. Meanwhile, the wicket of India’s star batsman KL Rahul has sparked a new uproar in the cricket world. After this legendary players from all over the world have expressed their opinions on this issue on social media.
What is the whole matter:
KL Rahul came to open the innings for Team India in this match. Actually, Rohit Sharma has not reached Australia yet, due to which KL is playing as an opener. Other batsmen of Team India were getting out from one end. But KL Rahul was batting steadily. He played an innings of 26 runs in 74 balls in this match. Where he also hit three fours. If we take a look at KL Rahul’s wicket, it was quite controversial.
Veterans reacted:
Actually, Mitchell Starc came to bowl the 23rd over for Australia. KL Rahul tried to defend the second ball of this over, but the ball passed close to his bat. The Australian team also appealed on this. But the umpire gave him not out. After this Australia took a review. There was a movement on the Snickometer, but it was not clear from the camera angle whether the ball touched the bat or not. The third umpire still gave him out. Now many veterans like Aakash Chopra, Wasim Jaffer and Robin Uthappa have posted on this issue.

Front on angle not available at the time of interception???
On-field umpire’s decision not-out. Was there conclusive evidence to overturn the decision? Bat hit the pad for sure…visible confirmation…then why not two spikes on the Ultra-Edge? Ridiculous umpiring from the box…— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) November 22, 2024
You don’t have to rush a decision when you have so many angles to review. Especially if you are overturning the on-field umpire’s call.

Third umpire asked for another angle which wasn’t provided. I’d assume he’d only ask for another angle if he wasn’t sure. Then if he wasn’t sure, why did he overturn the on field not out call? Poor use of technology and proper protocol not followed. KL hard done by. #AUSvIND
