How We Make Your Pets Feel at Home at Fox Harb’r
It’s not a family vacation without the furriest family members, right? Here’s how we welcome dogs and cats to Fox Harb’r.
Feeling at Home Starts with the Right Room
Pets are welcome in any guest suite rooms. With that said, our front office manager, Felicia Cadotte, tells us, “We try to keep all pets in the same guest suite buildings to ensure that the other guests in the building are understanding if there is any barking coming from another guest suite.” After all, the people who are going to be most understanding of your pet are other pet owners. Also, pet owners are always asked if they would prefer a ground room. That way, they can go out through the walk-out patio.
Feeling at Home Continues with the Right Welcome
Every pet gets a little welcome package from Pet on Vacation. The welcome packages always include a welcome card, a roll of earth-rated waste bags, and two very special vegan dog cookies. Deanna Toth, founder of Pet on Vacation, tells us that the cookies spent 18 months in development but won’t tell us the secret recipe—but you’re probably not surprised to hear that the main ingredient is love.
Another exciting thing about Pet on Vacation is they’ve already soft-launched their new welcome packages just for cats. Since both cats and dogs are welcome at Fox Harb’r, this is great news. That’s why we’ve partnered with Pet on Vacation—they love making the vacation experience better for pets and it shows. They’ve even rushed welcome packages for brides upon hearing that pets would play a role in their wedding parties. Toth tells us, “It was a joy to help make their special day even more memorable.”
Feeling at Home Extends to the Whole Resort
Visit either of our outdoor restaurant patios, and you’ll find families enjoying meals with dogs underfoot. Fox Harb’r is also home to plenty of hiking and biking trails, and pets are more than welcome to enjoy these with their families. You can even bring your dog to the golf course if you get prior permission from the golf shop. As long as pets are cleaned up after and don’t affect the pace of play, they can have fun on the links too.
Oh, and one last little thing: some departments like to keep dog treats on hand for when guests visit with their dogs. Because good dogs need to be told they’re good dogs as often as possible, you know?
