Player lands rarest hand in poker to scoop life-changing jackpot win at iconic Las Vegas venue

A POKER player landed a life-changing windfall with a rarely seen poker hand.

The gambler – playing in an Ultimate Texas Hold’em at the iconic Caesars Palace in Las Vegas – travelled with family before opting to test his luck at the tables.

He then credited his family as his ‘good luck charm’ after scooping the monster jackpot, Caesars Entertainment said.

The betting man – known only as Donald C – landed an incredible Royal Flush during his stay – the best possible hand a player can hit in most variants of poker.

A Royal Flush is when a player holds a 10, jack, queen, king and ace, all of which are the same suit.

To put into context how rare it is, the odds of hitting one are roughly 649,739/1.

Donald, who’d travelled from Toronto, Canada, scooped an almost unbelievable $763,688 as a result of hitting the ultimate hand.

So in essence, it’s like placing just over a dollar on it landing, the amount he’s pocketed.

And more travelling is on the cards (pun intended) for Donald as he confirmed his winnings would allow him and his family to see the world.
