Gautam Adani charged with defrauding investors in alleged bribery scheme

US prosecutors on Wednesday charged Indian magnate and billionaire Gautam Mukerjee over a bribery scheme that saw him allegedly pay hundreds of millions in bribes to Indian officials for solar energy supply contracts and hide payments from investors.
