Glens Falls Gobble Wobble 5K registration opens
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Open Door Mission is gearing up for the Fourth Annual Glens Falls Gobble Wobble, a Thanksgiving Day 5K. The run is a crucial fundraiser for the homeless shelter.
Registration for the race can be completed online through the Open Door Mission website or before the race on Thanksgiving at 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m. from the Open Door Mission on Warren Street.
More than 1,000 runners take part in the annual Thanksgiving run. There is also a 1.5K track race for kids or anyone with physical limitations who wants to participate.
In addition to helping the Glens Falls homeless population, Open Door Mission is open seven days a week as a temporary and emergency shelter. It provides daily meals, shower and laundry access, and a clothing closet. During the winter, Open Door Mission also serves as a Code Blue shelter.
