Angelina Jolie Brought Her Son Knox to the Governors Awards
On Sunday, Angelina Jolie brought her 16-year-old son Knox as her date to the Governors Awards in Los Angeles. Per Us Weekly, Jolie wore a floor-length golden gown, while Knox went for a classic black-and-white tux and bowtie combo. Posing for photos, the teen happily propped up his mom, guiding her down the red carpet like a seasoned pro. It seems like just yesterday this kid was a cherub-faced toddler. Fast-forward and we’ve got a full-fledged high-schooler, complete with a tiny mustache, and I suddenly feel old.
The actress was seen hand-in-hand and matching with Knox’s twin, Vivienne, earlier this year, but Jolie’s youngest son seems to be more reticent when it comes to embracing the public eye. The last time we saw him out and about at a formal affair was in October 2021, when he accompanied siblings Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne to the London premiere of the Marvel film Eternals, which his mom starred in. Now, he’s navigating the paparazzi with ease and flashing his dimples at the cameras. And although he took on a small voice-acting role in 2016’s Kung Fu Panda 3 (he voiced the character Ku Ku, while Jolie returned to the role of Tigress), his mom said Knox and his siblings aren’t convinced that acting is their destiny.

“No, I think they’re especially shy, very private people,” Jolie told E! News last month when asked if the kids might follow in her and Brad Pitt’s footsteps. “They want to be private.” Good on the kids for having well-established boundaries at such a young age.
