U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.38 percent to 106.276 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro increased to 1.0591 U.S. dollars from 1.0537 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.2672 dollars from 1.2612 dollars in the previ
