3 injured after box truck crashes into scaffolding on Manhattan sidewalk
MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- Three people were injured, including one critically, when a box truck rammed into a scaffolding on a Manhattan sidewalk Monday morning, police said.
The scaffolding collapsed after a 62-year-old driver crashed into a sidewalk shed near 245 West 29th St. between Seventh and Eighth Avenues at around 8:15 a.m., according to the NYPD.
Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The third victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
The driver remained at the scene. There have been no arrests.
