Topeka police identify victims of alleged murder-suicide
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Police in Topeka have identified the victims of an apparent murder-suicide Monday.
The Topeka Police Department announced on Nov. 18 the two individuals found dead last week in the downtown area were Monica O'Connell, 19 of Topeka and Sa Ron Taylor, 20, of Topeka. Police are investigating this incident as an alleged murder-suicide.
Police were called around 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 12 to the 700 block of Southwest Polk Street regarding a welfare check. Officers investigating the area found two dead, later identified as O'Connell and Taylor. Police launched a suspicious death investigation following the discovery.
