Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo dazzle at premiere of musical movie Wicked: Part One in London alongside UK stars
ARIANA Grande and Cynthia Erivo dazzled at the UK premiere of the musical movie Wicked tonight.
The duo had all eyes on them as they posed for pictures at The Royal Festival Hall on the green carpet.
Ariana wowed in a stunning yellow frock with a sheer lace shawl, while her co-star Cynthia contrasted her in a dramatic black gown.
Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh plays a fellow witch in the film, and joined them in a green, white and black gown.
Amanda Holden was among the famous faces walking the green carpet.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge aptly dressed for the occasion, opting for a green ensemble.
Also making an appearance was Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts, who wore a flowing blue dress.
Other stars including Louise Redknapp, Zara McDermott and Ashley James were in attendance at the star-studded event.
Karen Hauer, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Frankie Bridge and Adam Pearson also walked the green carpet.
Cynthia and US pop sensation Ariana star as famous witches Elphaba and Glinda in the Wicked.
The film is set to wow audiences on the big screen after years of it only being available as a hit Broadway and West End show.
It takes place before The Wizard of Oz’s famous storyline.
As the plot unfolds, so does the friendship and shared backstory between Elphaba Thropp and Glinda Upland.
Elphaba and Glinda are also known as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
A second film has also been in the works and is expected to be released in 2025.
Cynthia won Emmy and Tony Awards for her performance in Broadway musical The Color Purple.
She received an Oscar nomination for playing the lead role in 2019 biopic Harriet – focusing on Harriet Tubman.
Meanwhile, Ariana made her Broadway debut at 15 years old, in the musical 13.
She gained a wider audience by starring in Nickelodeon sitcoms during the 2010s.
