I’m A Celeb fans slam first Bushtucker trial as ‘unfair’ as they spot major problem
I’M A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans have taken to social media to call out this year’s first Bushtucker Trial.
Ant and Dec‘s jungle show made a return to ITV on Sunday night with it’s best line-up yet.
I’m A Celebrity’s first trial, Mausoleum of Misery, featured McFly’s Danny Jones[/caption] He teamed up with boxing legend Barry McGuigan[/caption] Danny won five stars for the camp while Barry struggled to win any[/caption]But one of the celebs seriously failed to impress just hours into arriving in camp.
Boxing legend Barry McGuigan and McFly’s Danny Jones were picked to take on the hellish Mausoleum of Misery after being selected by camp leaders Tulisa and Alan Halsall.
The pressure was on to bring home enough stars for the camp to have a decent first meal.
In the trial, both Danny and Barry had the ability to win up to five stars for the camp.
Whilst locked in chambers, Danny and Barry had to look at tiles on the floor which contained hints for codes to unlock five padlocks.
Barry gave the trial his all, but he fell short of securing any stars while Danny won three.
Fans said the challenge was unfair to the 63-year-old sporting legend, who was left gutted that he hadn’t collected any stars.
Barry was unable to wear his glasses under the safety goggles required for the trial.
The trial, which involved navigating a dark, confined space and searching for stars among 15 snakes, was already daunting.
“Barry should have been able to use his glasses for that challenge. I feel like if he had his glasses he would have smashed that challenge,” one fan wrote on X.
Another echoed: “This is a bit unfair if Barry has bad eyesight? Can’t he wear glasses under his goggles!?”
A third said: “Bit unfair if Barry has bad eyesight!”
The celebrity who will take on the next trial was revealed last night.
Viewers will see YouTube star GK Barry, 25, tackling the Vile Volcano in Monday’s episode.
Grace, who has appeared on ITV’s Loose Women, became a target after high-pitch screams when she panicked trying to find a key in amongst cockroaches.
Dec said on ITV2‘s spin-off show I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked: “That was the moment the Great British public collectively decided she should do the trial.”
Ant predicted he and Dec would have to be on hand to wipe away tears and give Grace a cuddle as they supported her through the Bushtucker Trial.
They left the Unpacked show to meet the campmate for Vile Volcano.
Meanwhile she remained back at camp being supported by Jane who is her fellow Loose Women panellist.
