Severe delays on major London Underground lines

Severe delays have been reported on several Underground lines throughout London this morning.

The Elizabeth line is reporting delays between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4 as it undergoes engineering works, with similar disruptions taking place at Paddington station.

Disruption is expected to continue until 11am, with rail providers warning that trains may still be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 50 minutes.

Elsewhere in London, delays have been reported on the Northern Line at Kentish Town due to engineering works. The underground station at Collindale is also closed and trains are not stopping there.

There are minor delays on the Victoria and Jubilee lines due to a shortage of trains.

National Rail have warned various routes across England, Wales and Scotland could be affected by snowy weather after the Met Office issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice over the coming days.

Heavy rain is also expected over parts of Wales and the South West of England on Monday, which may also affect rail lines.
