Just months after the very public divorce between The Last Song costars Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus, Hemsworth started seeing Australian model Gabriella Brooks. Like Hemsworth, Brooks grew up in Australia but moved to the U.S. to further pursue her career. 

Though the couple didn't make a public appearance in Hollywood until the Gold Dinner charity event in 2021, they were spotted out in Australia with the actor's parents two years prior.

While the pair have chosen to keep their relationships pretty low-profile, both celebrities are regularly seen in the limelight. Below, everything there is to know about The Hunger Games actor's leading lady.

Gabriella Brooks Is an Australian Model

Though Brooks hasn't been in the public eye of Hollywood nearly as long as Hemsworth, she's no stranger to fame. According to her IMDb, she was discovered and signed at the age of 14 while still living in Sydney. When she's not posting striking Instagram photos, she's working for top brands such as Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Valentino, and Topshop. She also made her runway debut in 2023 at Australian Fashion Week. Also according to IMDb, Brooks's net worth is estimated to be somewhere between $2 million and $3 million.

The Pair Met in 2019

If you know anything about Liam Hemsworth, it's probably that he and Miley Cyrus had a whirlwind romance after their meeting on the set of The Last Song, followed by a very public divorce. So public, in fact, that Cyrus wrote a song called "Flowers" you have definitely heard before that is thought be about their breakup, with the famous opening lyrics: "We were good, we were gold / Kinda dream that can't be sold / We were right 'til we weren't / Built a home and watched it burn."

Not long after the couple's nearly 10-year relationship ended, Hemsworth and Brooks started dating. While it's unclear how the couple first met, it's pretty apparent they moved quickly. A few months into dating, Hemsworth introduced Brooks to his parents. 

“Liam feels comfortable with Gabriella,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “His family approves of her and really likes her, which is very important to him.”

While Hemsworth and Cyrus's relationship was tumultuous (and there are songs to prove it), according to an Entertainment Tonight source, Brooks has really helped him move on from that decade-long relationship. 

"While Liam's family has been a huge support since the breakup with Miley, it was Gabriella who made him realize there is life after Miley," the source said. "Gabriella is quiet, low-key. She loves to be alone with Liam and isn't seeking attention from others. Gabriella is young but adores him. She gets along with his parents and his closest friends. The moment they started dating, they had incredible chemistry."

This Isn’t Her First High-Profile Relationship

While the two have kept things largely private, this isn't exactly Brooks's first notable connection. Around the same time Cyrus and Hemsworth broke up, Brooks and her ex-beau Matt Healey called it quits after four years of dating. While there's no concrete reason as to why they two broke up, the Sun reported that Brooks ended the relationship after she “grew tired of his constant partying.”

In a 2020 interview with the Guardian, the frontman of The 1975 seemed to agree with that sentiment stating, “My twenties was f**king chaos and I didn’t live a domestic life so there are lots of things I’ve just not learned. I’m not emotionally very mature."

Healy added: “There have been times when it does damage my relationship and I ask myself: ‘Why do I value my career so much?’ I’m trying to relinquish that idea. I want to have a period in my life when I’m not conflicted about it.”
