Massive Setback for India: Potential replacement of Rohit Sharma leaves the field during practice session before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25
Indian team is currently in Australia practicing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, which is set to begin from November 22. Among these sessions, wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, who is taken as the potential replacement of Rohit Sharma for the opening of the Australia series, has suffered an injury.
As per the reporters present at the venue, Rahul faced a hit on his right elbow/forearm on a short delivery. Even though he tried to shake it off and resume playing after some help from the physio, Rahul decided to ultimately walk off the field.
Though Rahul was hit by the ball in the morning, it is currently believed that he is doing fine as of now.
Apart from all the support he has been getting from captain Rohit and head coach Gautam Gambhir, KL Rahul has been going through a tough phase after he got initially given by middle-order in India’s home Test series against New Zealand.
