MAFS’ Caspar melts fans’ hearts as he reveals adorable tribute to his ex wife Emma at series reunion
MARRIED At First Sight fans found their hearts melting after Caspar surprised his ex-wife Emma with a sweet tribute to her.
Caspar and Emma were brought back together for the reunion episode of the E4 series and viewers were shocked at his reaction.
Despite the couple splitting midway through the series, Caspar decided to show his ex-wife just how much she did – and still – means to him.
Sitting on the couch with their MAFS UK friends Kirstina and Kieran, the full time gardener reached around his neck while talking to Emma.
Caspar then revealed his wedding ring, which he had been wearing on a chain ever since their marriage broke down.
As she blushed, he told her: “I’ve still got my wedding ring on.”
With Kristina sandwiched in between them gasping, Emma replied: “Ahhh. That’s nice, that’s cute.”
Caspar explained: “It’s still part of my life, isn’t it?
“It was a really big part of my life. I want to keep it there. It’s somewhere close and personal.”
Smiling, Emma said: “Ahh, there I am, right next to your heart. That’s cute, that’s cute.”
Caspar’s sweet tribute gained approval from the MAFS UK experts, too.
Watching on a screen backstage, Paul C. Brunson said: “I rate this. He is showing there was something about the process that was important.
“He’s trying to show Emma, ‘Hey, there’s care here. There’s a level of respect here’.”
Fans also thought it was a kind move by Casper.
“I will go to my grave saying that Emma was the best one of this entire bunch and I’m glad Caspar knew how precious she was in the end by still wearing his ring!” one viewer wrote on X.
Emma was delighted when she first saw Caspar waiting for her at the end of the aisle on their wedding day back in September.
Warning bells for the couple began ringing earlier on, however, after he told the cameras Emma reminded him of his sister.
Caspar later shared his thoughts with his wife, savagely telling her there was no sexual chemistry due to the comparison.
Matters were then made worse when he told Emma she wasn’t his usual type as she was ‘too curvy’.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
Before telling her that he does not find her “sexy”, Caspar brutally said: “I’ve rarely gone for the curvier person.”
When asked if he fancies her, Caspar brutally added: “Not currently no, let’s be honest.”
Emma and Caspar eventually split during a later commitment ceremony, with them both agreeing that their marriage had run its course.
