Rep. Marc Molinaro conceded the race for New York State’s 19th Congressional district on Tuesday. His opponent, democrat Josh Riley, will take over his seat.

2. NYS declares burn ban in wake of wildfires, dry conditions

There’s now a statewide burn ban in New York in the wake of the current wildfires in the Hudson Valley. Governor Kathy Hochul said the statewide burn ban is in effect until November 30 due to an increased fire risk as the state continues to experience drought conditions.

3. Lake George BOE discusses sexual misconduct charges against student-athletes

The Lake George Board of Education held its monthly meeting on Tuesday. One topic of discussion was the recent incident where two student-athletes from the Wolverines football team were charged with alleged sexual misconduct.

4. Albany man pleads not guilty to stabbing police officer

An Albany man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder during his arraignment on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing a police officer in 2022. Albany County Court officials said Eric Frazier, 57, is facing several charges.
