My husband is 14 years older than my mum but way hotter than any man my age – people say I’m just after his money
A WOMAN has insisted who is married to a man older than her mum, who was battling cancer when they met, has insisted that she is not a gold digger.
Glenda, 33 met Roy, 68 after she approached him to talk business, as they are both in the insurance and real estate business.
They met up to compare notes, and Roy immediately realised that he was attracted to Glenda, who is 35 years his junior.
After the meeting, he asked her out on a date, and they spent three hours chatting in a local restaurant.
Glenda said that her first impression of Roy was that he was very funny and confident.
“He made a joke asking ‘am I too old to date you?’, and I made a joke back and said ‘age is just a number’,” she told Love Don’t Judge.
Glenda said that she is attracted to older men, as they are “done with partying”, and are ready to “settle down and be in a serious relationship”.
However, when the couple first met Roy had just been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
“I didn’t want to take a young attractive woman through that”, she said.
However, Glenda told Roy that she was a “ride or die” kind of girl, and helped him through his cancer battle.
“She helped me through the whole process, it was clear from the beginning that this was very sincere,” Roy said.
Roy is over 10 years older than Glenda’s mother, who is 54, but Glenda said that she never thinks about the age gap.
“I don’t think about what life will be like 10 years from now, I’m just enjoying my husband at this moment,” she said.
Glenda and Roy have been married for a year, and have received plenty of criticism about their union, especially from Glenda’s mum.
“I don’t consult with family, their opinion would never matter”, she said.
Glenda often posts insights into her unconventional marriage on TikTok, and has been face with cruel comments from trolls.

Roy added that he wishes he and Glenda were closer in age, so that their relationship had more opportunity for longevity.
The couple are currently using IVF in the hopes of getting pregnant, but Roy will be almost 70 years old when the baby is born.
“I’ll be a much older father, but hopefully I’ll be around as long as I can.”
