Kevin Clifton starred on the BBC One show from 2013 until 2019, dancing with celebrities including Susanna Reid, Frankie Bridge and Louise Redknapp.

Speaking before his time on It Takes Two on Wednesday night, Kevin, 42, said: “I’m very excited.

“I’m back at Strictly Come Dancing. I feel very nostalgic, I’ve got all the feels.”

And fans were equally as happy to have Kevin back. Writing on social media, one said: “Lovely to see Kevin again, my favourite dancer.”

Someone else commented: “So good to see Kevin back!”

For the 2018 series of Strictly Kevin was partnered with documntary maker Stacey Dooley.

They went on to win the show and started a romantic relationship. In January last year the couple welcomed a baby girl.

Kevin previously confessed he’d never rule out a full-time return to the show.

In 2020 he said: “Yes, someone has been asking me this. I never say never to Strictly, I felt like I left at the right time.

“I’ve done seven years on the show and there are a lot of things that I do, I don’t just do ballroom dancing.

I’ve been doing a lot of theatre and stuff, and I like singing and acting and all these other things and so it was an ongoing conversation with Strictly that I would want to explore some other things.”
