Former India coach Sanjay Bangar, who’s son Aryan underwent sex change procedure, has net worth of over Rs 150000000
Former India all-rounder Sanjay Bangar coached the Indian cricket team from 2014 till the end of the 2019 ODI World Cup. Bangar formed a very successful coaching combination with Team Director and later head coach Ravi Shastri and bowling coach Bharat Arun.
India’s ex-batting coach Bangar has been in the new because his son Aryan – now Anaya – has undergone a sex change procedure through Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to become a transwoman. The 23-year-old went through a hormonal replacement surgery and took to social media to share the 10-month progress. Currently living in Manchester, Anaya shared some pics with former India skipper MS Dhoni and star batter Virat Kohli in the reel.
“But beyond the game, I had another journey. A path of self-discovery and lot of challenges faced. Embracing my true self meant making hard choices, letting go of the comfort of fitting in, and standing up for who I am, even when it wasn’t easy. Today, I’m proud to be a part of the sport I love at any level or category, not only as an athlete but as my authentic self. The road hasn’t been easy, but finding my true self has been the greatest victory of all,” he added.

Before taking up the batting coach position with the Indian cricket team, Bangar was also assistant coach of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and promoted to the position of head coach with the same franchise before giving up this position due to ‘conflict of interest’ with his job as batting coach of Team India.
In IPL 2022, he was appointed the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team led by Virat Kohli – where he helped the team reach the Playoffs stage before losing Qualifier 2 to eventual finalists Rajasthan Royals.
Ahead of IPL 2023, Bangar took up the position as Head of Cricket Development with Punjab Kings IPL franchise. Talking about his cricketing career, Bangar turned out in 12 Tests and 15 ODI matches for India.
