LIVE: Rodrigo Duterte faces House quad committee’s drug war probe for the first time

MANILA, Philippines – The House of Representatives quad committee holds its 11th hearing into controversies that plagued the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday, November 13.

The hearing was initially canceled, but lawmakers called the former president’s bluff after he said he would show up on Wednesday at the Batasang Pambansa to confront the panel whether or not it sticks with the cancellation.

The quad committee, which is investigating drug war killings during the Duterte administration, had invited the former president to attend its inquiry as early as October, but the Duterte camp said he was not feeling well, and would be able to participate in November.
