St. Mary Parish man escapes from jail, BOLO issued to local authorities

ST. MARY PARISH, La. (KLFY) - A Morgan City man has escaped from the River Bend Detention Center located in East Carroll Parish.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell says it happened in the early Monday morning. Wayne Michael Escort, 33 years old, was being housed at River Bend Detention Center on St. Mary Parish charges of Aggravated Armed Robbery with a weapon and Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile among other charges by the Morgan City Police Dept.

While Escort has not been seen in St. Mary Parish, authorities throughout the area have been issued the BOLO.
