South Carolina unanimous No. 1 following 2-0 start

Defending national champion South Carolina was the unanimous No. 1 team in The Associated Press Top 25 women's basketball poll released on Monday.

All 31 voters selected the Gamecocks (2-0) following last week's wins against Michigan and North Carolina State. In the preseason poll, two ballots went to No. 2 UConn and one to No. 3 Southern California.
