I was a Playboy Bunny… Hef’s girlfriend recruiter would shout ‘Daddy is in the bedroom’ before he’d have sex with us
HOLLY Madison was giggling with her girlfriends, a vodka and cranberry in hand, when a looming voice bellowed from the doorway: “Daddy is in the bedroom.”
It was the then 21-year-old’s first night at the notorious Playboy Mansion – and the man at its helm, Hugh Hefner, had just arrived.
The voice was that of his ‘girlfriend recruiter’, an unidentified woman who lined up the young glamorous women Hugh brought to live with him in his Hollywood home.
And while Holly had believed she would be nothing more than a glamorous sidekick for the infamous 70-year-old when she met the recruiter at a party, in a new podcast she claims on her first night there, she had turned to Hugh and said: “Daddy. Do you want to get the new girl?”
The Playboy millionaire – who was known as the ‘Godfather of the sexual revolution’ and died in 2017 – then had sex with Holly in front of the rest of his ‘girlfriends.’
She explains: “And the next thing I know he’s on top of me and I’m like, okay, so that happened.
“I was laying at the end of the bed because later on like things would get so routine like he wouldn’t move. He’d be like a bump on the log,” she adds, hinting to the fact he would often lie on the bed while the girls took turns to have sex with him.
She was then taken to her own room to sleep in for the rest of the night and in the morning she was made one of Hugh’s girlfriends and permanently moved in.

“I’ve had people ask me before well, if you didn’t like the sex or if it freaked you out, why didn’t you just leave? But you have to understand like if I were to just leave I’m going back to my problems of not having a place to live,” Holly explains.
“Plus, I just had sex with this guy which to me is like a big deal. Like I’m not a big like one-night stander.”
Holly stayed with Hugh up until 2008, filming multiple series of the MTV reality show, Girls of the Playboy Mansion.
The series showed Hugh’s girlfriends living a life of luxury and going on romantic dates with the Playboy mogul, but never having sex.
According to previous girlfriends Izabella St James and Zoe Gregory Paul, they were each given $1,000 a week, as well as $2,000 for wardrobe updates, health insurance and money to pay for plastic surgery while they lived there.
They revealed they saw the relationship as a two-way street “He needed us to be at his side and look pretty, right?” Izabella said. “It was understood. We just knew that we lived in his world and we had to follow the rules.”
But the girls who lived there have since spoken out about what really went on in the mansion, with allegations of girls being given ‘thigh-opener’ drugs and lured into having orgies twice a week.
‘I felt like a piece of meat’
In 2002, Bridget Marquardt, then 26, moved in to Hugh’s palace alongside Holly.
Both women – along with Kendra Wilkinson – appeared on the TV show Girls Next Door, which was filmed inside the mansion.

Girlfriends vs Playmates
Rumour has it that Hugh Hefner would have two to a dozen “girlfriends” living with him at a time. These girlfriends are not to be confused with Playmates. Each girlfriend had their own room, but one “special lady” was named as girlfriend number one and stayed with Hef in his room. Each girlfriend received a $1,000 (£760) weekly bonus “allowance.”
Hef’s Wild side
The Playboy mansion was home to a private zoo. It was one of very few private residences that actually has a zoo license. Hefner was a fan of birds. Among his collection – many of which roamed the grounds – were peacocks, macaws, flamingos, toucans and ducks.

Within the mansion was a secret room, called “The Elvis Room.” Legend has it that the King himself, Elvis Presley, had a little slumber party in the room with up to eight eager bunnies.
It showed a glimpse of what went on in the Playboy Mansion – mainly the luxurious lifestyles the girls lived with multiple beauty appointments, long lunches and holidays.
But according to both Holly and Bridget there were plenty of details left out, including having sex with Hugh Hefner himself.
According to Holly, now 44, she was always sworn to secrecy about having intercourse with Hugh.
While she didn’t reveal how often she had sex with Hugh she recalled she felt like a ‘piece of meat and “feeling so gross and so used.’
Holly and Bridget say they felt groomed by the female recruiter, with Holly saying: “She was super friendly and she did make me feel really at ease but of course, there’s a reason for that.”
“But really I was just like another piece of meat for her to throw under him so she looks better and she wins points.”
Both admit they felt pressure to go along with having sex with Hugh – understanding they could be dumped and chucked out of the mansion if they didn’t do what was expected of them.
”Everyone wanted to be there – every celebrity, every girl that I knew of wanted to be a part of it, wanted to be a Playmate, go to the parties,” recalled Bridget.
”They had the best parties in the world there.
”It’s the place that you wanted to go and you wanted to be seen, and you wanted to be a part of that whole lifestyle.”
While the Playboy Mansion was the place to be back then, it’s popularity has declined in the last decade and was sold in 2016 for $100 million to billionaire Daren Metropoulos.
But for the girls living and working in the home – which had 29 rooms, it was a different story.
Now revealing all on their podcast Girls Next Level, the pair share what it was really like in the bedroom.
Bedroom Secrets
Holly says: “The girls will not admit to having sex with him. Back then, after I moved in the recruiter told me don’t ever say you have sex with him.”
But according to Holly it was a common occurrence where the girls would wait in his bedroom for him to come in.

“Everybody wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible,” says Holly.
“Like none of the females were into it. Like sorry to burst the bubble, but none of us were into it.”
Holly revealed in a more recent podcast: ”When I think about the worst thing, I just think about anything in the bedroom and just the fact that anyone would be invited in there.
”We didn’t get to agree on who got to come in and who got to watch, and who got to do whatever – and it was just traumatising.”
Bridget agreed, saying that it couldn’t get ”any worse” than what happened in the bedrooms.
”We had no voice during that time – it was really hard.”
‘Constant fights and backstabbing’
The pair were often with Hugh as they took to the streets of LA hanging on his arm with an army of blonde-haired beauties, at one point he had seven girlfriend’s at one time.
Despite images showing them all laughing together, behind the scenes was much more chaotic.
Holly revealed: “It was an absolute nightmare. It was just horrible like the other girls were impossible to get along with. There was constant backstabbing. I just felt like I was living in constant fight or flight.”
And what added fuel to the fire was that they then had to get naked with each other in the evenings.

She continued: “I can’t explain to you how embarrassing that whole routine was, especially as we got later down the road when there was a lot of conflict with the other girls.
“You’re literally sitting there naked having sex in front of a group of people who hate you and talk s**t about you while you’re having sex.”
The pair admit they were ‘naive’ at the time thinking all of the girls would get on.
“I thought that we were going to be like BFFs and it was going to be so much fun and I thought that it was going to be like total slumber parties and like hanging out each other’s rooms and borrowing clothes and just like really fun,” said Holly.
