Another tropical threat possible in late November

Storm Team 10 and the National Hurricane Center will be monitoring the Caribbean Sea for tropical development in the next 1 to 2 weeks. The NHC has a 40% chance for tropical development. As of today, there is no activity in this area but a broad area of low pressure is expected to form as conditions become more favorable for tropical formation in the coming days.

Global models are starting to become more consistent with a stronger tropical system forming out of the Caribbean and eventually lifting northwards into the Gulf of Mexico. It is unknown at this time if there will be a threat to the Gulf or what impacts this disturbance could bring to the United States. It would be extremely rare for a system to reach as far west as Louisiana this time of the year. The higher threat for impacts would be across Florida. The next name on the list is Sara.
