Kansas Turnpike reopens after crash kills 2 south of Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- The northbound lanes of the Kansas Turnpike have reopened after a fatal crash early Monday. Two people died, and two others were injured after the crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. near 87th Street South, south of Haysville. So far, authorities have not released details of what happened or how many vehicles were involved.
Northbound traffic was closed at exit 33, near Mulvane, and vehicles were detoured to U.S. Highway 81. Southbound traffic was also temporarily affected.
