One DIY enthusiast has proved that you don’t need to spend a fortune to turn your house from drab to fab.

Thrilled with her hallway transformation, Holly Citrone took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, the savvy mum, who is from the UK, explained that she used cheap buys from B&Q to add style and glamour to her space.

She wrote: “Hallway panelling. We’re so pleased with this. This now matches our stairs.”

Holly explained that she stocked up on wood from B&Q for her mega makeover.

She revealed that the Astragal thicker dado rail was £7.67 for 240cm, whilst the smaller inside Astragal rail was £5.67 for 240cm.

Holly explained: “We used four of the bigger rails and we think eight of the smaller ones so total spend was £77.05.

“We already had the paint, which is Dulux Timeless and Egyptian Cotton.”

Thanks to the cheap dado rails from B&Q and paint they already had, Holly was able to give her once very plain hallway a breathtaking fresh look.

For less than £80, we think Holly’s makeover is super impressive – and it’s really on trend and chic too.

Facebook users were left gobsmacked at Holly’s beautiful hallway transformation and many flocked to the comments to express this.

Not only did people describe Holly’s hallway, which she has decorated with prints and an olive tree, as ‘stunning’ and ‘beautiful’, but they praised her hard work too.
