Five-car pile-up on busy motorway causes seven miles of queues

The M60 has been partially blocked after a five-car crash near Stockport.

The outside lane is currently closed after the crash near junction 1 this morning.

Drivers are facing 45 minute delays and seven miles of queueing traffic has already build up, leading right back to junction 23 for Audenshaw.

Meanwhile, commuters on the London Underground this morning are facing severe tube delays thanks to a signal failure.

The failure at Bond Street is causing major problems on the Central line and the issue has been impacting travel for most of the morning.

The Waterloo & City line is also suspended after a signal failure at Waterloo.

And two train networks will be facing delays and cancellations all week after a points failure.

The failure, in the Selby area, is impacting Hull Trains and LNER services, including their trains to and from London Kings Cross.
