'Whoa!' CNN conservative stunned over proposal to transfer power to Harris
A former aide to Vice President Kamala Harris got a reaction out of CNN's resident conservative on Sunday morning when he suggested President Joe Biden turn over the reins of power to his old boss before Donald Trump is sworn in again.
During the panel segment at the end of CNN's "State of the Union," host Dana Bash asked ex-Harris communications director Jamal Simmons what to look for now that the election has been settled.
"Joe Biden has been a phenomenal president, he has lived up to the promises he made, but there is one promise left to fulfill," he began. "He can resign the presidency in the next 30 days and make Kamala Harris the next president of the United States."

That elicited a "Whoa!" from CNN conservative Scott Jennings.
'It would absolve her of having to oversee that Jan. 6 transition of her own defeat," Simmons continued. "It would make sure that it would dominate the news at a point where Democrats have to learn drama and transparency and doing things in the public would want to see."
"This is the moment to change the entire perspective of the Democratic Party, he added.
