Georgia woman ejected, killed in crash on I-235 in NW Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A 34-year-old Georgia woman is dead following a crash on I-235 Friday night.
According to authorities, the accident happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Friday in the southbound lane of I-235 near NW 50th Street.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials say the 34-year-old woman from Atlanta, Georgia was speeding along the freeway when she then switched lanes and struck another vehicle.
Her car was said to have rolled an unknown amount of times as she was ejected. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
OHP says the woman was later pronounced dead on the scene by EMSA. Her name has not yet been released as they work to notify the family.
Both the driver and the passenger of the other vehicle involved in the crash were not injured.
