High Risk for flash flooding in parts of Acadiana this weekend

Storm Team 10 is monitoring a high risk for flash flooding in parts of Acadiana for this weekend as rainfall totals could reach over a foot or more localized spots. The highest threat will be across western and northwestern Acadiana but Lafayette could see heavy rains as well.
Heavy showers and storms become likely by this Saturday afternoon and could last for through tonight into Sunday morning. Models are estimating rainfall totals from 2" to 6" inches in much of Acadiana but there could be areas that receive a foot of rainfall or more, especially north of I-10.
Otherwise, the spring-like warmth and humidity continues today as temperatures will hover in the 70s to low 80s. Rain chances should decrease significantly by Sunday afternoon.
