Man arrested for burglaries in Larnaca

Police arrested a 23-year-old man on Friday evening in connection with burglaries and theft in Larnaca.

At 1.30am, police received a call that a civilian had found a person acting suspiciously in Larnaca.

Police found two men, aged 27 and 23. The former reported that a few minutes earlier he had found the 23-year-old in his house and confronted him. The 23-year-old drew a knife and assaulted the 27-year-old.

Both men were taken to Larnaca general hospital for medical examinations and discharged.

Investigations indicated that the suspect was wanted for stealing a mobile phone and a pair of sunglasses from a house on October 16.
