Vees host Trail in Remembrance Day game on Monday
PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees Junior Hockey Club is hosting a special Remembrance Day game on Monday, November 11, at 2:00 pm against the Trail Smoke Eaters at the SOEC.
Admission is free for veterans, along with active service members of the Canadian Armed Forces. Veterans and active service members can pick up their free tickets at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 40 at 257 Brunswick street, starting at 9:00 am tomorrow. Tickets for adults are $18 and local youth are free, courtesy of Peters Brothers Construction.
On Monday, the Vees will hold a Remembrance Day pre-game ceremony, which will include the 788 Dragoons Royal Canadian Army Cadets, and the 259 Panther Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
Cadets will be handing out poppies by donation on the concourse at Monday’s game.

There are two Remembrance Day ceremonies in Penticton on November 11th. The Penticton Trade & Convention Centre ceremony begins at 10:45 am. An outdoor cenotaph ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park beings at 10:30 am on Monday.
