Off-duty Calcasieu sheriff deputy involved in deadly three-vehicle crash in unmarked unit, authorities say

CALCASIEU PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- An off-duty deputy driving an unmarked unit was involved in a deadly three-vehicle crash, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office announced late Friday.
According to a news release, the crash occurred Friday afternoon on Nelson Road near Plantation Drive in Lake Charles.
No other details were released by the sheriff's office.
The crash remains under investigation by Louisiana State Police.
