‘Welcome to being a Republican’: GOP strategist jabs 'patronizing' Dems on CNN
A Republican strategist on Friday lampooned Democrats in an on-air rant where she called the party out for the way they speak to Americans struggling economically, before revealing what she sees as their “biggest problem.”
“They kept almost telling the American people from the podium like they're, they're dumb-dumb, the economy's fine…everything’s great, and it was so patronizing,” GOP strategist Erin Perrine said during a panel discussion Friday on CNN’s “NewsNight.” The Republican kicked off her vocal sound-off after journalist and contributing Boston Globe opinion writer Tanzina Vega told host Abby Phillip that Democrats’ messaging to the middle class “didn’t seem to connect.”

“And you have Karine Jean-Pierre as the White House press secretary at the podium saying, ‘The economy is great, it's just because the media isn't telling the American people,’” Perrine said after referencing a news article about sticker shock at the grocery store.
She added: “That's Democrats’ biggest problem right now – you are blaming the media for not carrying your message – well welcome to being a Republican buddy because we have to fight back all the time – how many times is it ‘Republicans pounce,’ ‘Republicans seize,’ ‘Republicans this, that or whatever – how about it's ‘Republican acknowledge the fact' and make that a headline.”
Phillip added that “a host of other things,” in addition to the economy, contributed to Vice President Kamala Harris’ bruising Election night loss.
