FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday evening!
Sunshine has remained steady in time for the end of the work week. Temperatures have gotten a slight boost into the lower 60s for the afternoon. Going into the weekend, while we will start off sunny, it will look very different by Sunday.
High pressure will remain in control for the rest of tonight and the majority of Saturday. With clear skies, we'll get a little chillier throughout Football Friday Nite. Most of us are landing in the upper 30s for Saturday morning. Temperatures will remain somewhat seasonable for the day tomorrow. We'll be topping out right around 60 degrees - we're typically in the mid to upper 50s.
The Buckeyes will play against the Boilermakers with plenty of sunshine. But, towards the end of the game, clouds will begin to build in out of the west. That trend continues into Saturday night with skies turning overcast before our next chance of rain moves in. A cold front will bring scattered chances for showers to the area shortly after midnight.
Sunday will see several rounds of scattered showers with most of the day seeing rain. Heavier showers will push in shortly after sunrise and again in the afternoon. We won't start drying out until the late evening and still remain cloudy. It'll be the most rain we've seen in over a month with some areas getting over 1".
Sunshine starts to work in for the beginning of next week with temperatures dropping to the upper 50s. Another round of rain returns for the middle of the week before we dry out and drop to the lower 50s by next Friday.
